Do my PDF files leave my device?
Merge, Split, Organize, common image-to-PDF jobs, and supported PDF-to-image jobs run on your device. Watermarks send only text and appearance settings to prepare a small asset, then process the PDF locally. If local processing cannot finish, files are automatically uploaded over HTTPS for temporary server processing, with a visible status and cancel option. PDF to Word uses temporary server processing.
Does PDFMK store a document history?
No. PDFMK does not currently provide accounts, saved-document folders, or permanent result links. Keep your original and downloaded files because the service is not a document backup system.
Is registration required?
No account or registration is currently required to use the seven PDF tools. The service may reject requests that exceed practical processing or security limits.
What file-size limit applies?
Each individual upload is limited to 100 MB. Tools can also enforce page-count, file-count, total-upload, ZIP-expansion, DPI, and processing limits. The upload area shows the limits for that operation, and the API returns a specific error when a request exceeds one.
Can PDFMK process password-protected PDFs?
The tools do not include a password field. If you own or are authorized to use an encrypted PDF, unlock a copy locally before submitting it. Keep signed or certified originals because rewriting a PDF can affect signature validation.
Will every bookmark, form, link, and signature be preserved?
Not necessarily. PDF transformations can rewrite complex document structures. Keep the source and verify page order, links, bookmarks, forms, annotations, accessibility, and signatures whenever those features matter.
